Message from Mme Orr
We’ve had a superb couple of weeks of cooking up a storm in our staff room. Grade 8s have shown an incredible amount of know-how and have put their cooking skills to the test. One more week to go! Some of the dishes we’ve prepared include: pizza-dillas, breakfast burritos, cucumber tomato & feta salad, rice vermicelli.
Thank yous!
We’d like to thank all of our parent volunteers who have braved the kitchen and helped us become the fabulous chefs that we can be!
Message from Mme Bauco and Mr. Mulligan
This week our grade 8 students hosted a STEM Fair to share their learning in Sciences and Mathematics. They built a variety of hydraulic machines using recycled materials and learned their importance in everyday life. We are so proud of their hard work, innovation, and creativity!
Grade 4 Market Day
Message from Miss Molella
Our classroom transformed into a marketplace as students put their financial literacy skills to the test! Throughout the week, 4F-3 students became creative entrepreneurs— designing their own products, crafting eye-catching advertisements and posters, and setting prices for their goods. On Market Day the students took on the roles of sellers and customers, handling transactions, creating receipts, adding tax, and calculating change. Watching them apply real-world math skills while building confidence with money management was awesome! :)

Eco Club @ Beynon
Message from Ms. Dimitropoulos
Beynon Fields Public School Eco Club, made up of students in grades 7-8, is working to promote environmental literacy and practices within our school and larger community. Our goal is to unite the school community through this initiative and certify as an official Eco School by committing to completing actions that better our environment. We’ve had a strong start by promoting small ways to invoke change and co-create a School Pledge to abide by. I am very excited to see how this dedicated group of students will help instill change in our community and become advocates for the environment!
Updates
On March 27th, an Earth Hour was held at BFPS. Classes turned off their lights and refrained from using tech for an hour! By completing an Earth hour, we are making a commitment to acknowledge an act we will undertake for the benefit of the planet.
More
The week of April 28-May 2, the entire school will engage in a “Clean Up, Green Up” initiative! We will work together to clean our community by picking up litter outside.
